In line with this mission, the university teamed up with Empower to set up an 80.64KW solar energy system, including 192 Jinko solar panels, 96 optimizers, and 2 SolarEdge inverters.
This project has delivered astounding outcomes! The university now produces a whopping 73,783 kilowatt-hours (KWh) of power, saving an impressive £20,290.33 on electricity bills. This sustainable initiative has significantly shrunk the university's carbon footprint, reducing annual CO2 emissions by 41,061 kilograms. Bournemouth University is committed to educating its students about the importance of preserving our environment and embracing sustainability.
