The Eddi - Solar Power Diverter

An Efficient Way Of Living

Is Eddi Right For My Home?

The Eddi is a new and reliable power diverter that works by using any excess energy your solar pv generates and redirecting it to heat your water tank. By providing your household with hot water and heating its puts otherwise wasted energy to use and helps to make every day that little bit easier. Eddi is compatible with the Tesla Powerwall 2, which makes the power diverter a no brainer for smart homeowners. Eddi also has the added benefit of being tailored so that it observes your systems surplus power and adjusts the voltage accordingly so that it matches the heater load.

How Will Eddi Help Me To Be Self-sufficient?

Becoming self-sufficient is an objective everybody should be focusing on achieving in 2020. Unless you have an alternative solution such as battery storage or an immersion controller, your unused but paid for solar energy is transferred back to the grid. Eddi stops things like this from happening by allowing you to rely less on the grid, with a 95% power self-consumption compared to 25% without Eddi. This is because Eddi utilizes the spare energy your system produces so you can benefit from everything your solar is making rather than letting it go to waste.

My energi eddi ...
save money and power

Diverting power has never been so simple. Trying to live a lifestyle generated by renewable, green energy seems almost impossible, right? The Eddi is the intelligent device that helps you do exactly that, utilising your solar PV energy by diverting excess power generation from your solar PV back to your heating systems to heat your water instead of it being exported back to the grid.

About The Eddi Power Diverter

The Eddi is a solar power diverter for use with grid-tied PV or wind turbine systems. Excess energy from the micro-generation system is used to heat water or rooms rather than exporting it to the grid.

How The Eddi Power Diverter works

A grid current sensor (supplied) simply clips around the incoming supply cable. This sensor is used to monitor excess power and Eddi automatically adjusts the voltage to the heater load, thereby consuming the surplus power. A self-powered wireless sensor is available separately. An internal expansion interface provides a means to add and expansion module to enable various functions such as auto switching from daytime and night-time supply, heat pump interfacing for legionella control and temperature sensing. Eddi power diverter utilises myenergi’s proprietary VariSineTM technology to ensure compliance with worldwide power grid standards, for a reliable solar power diverter.
