This cutting-edge system is anticipated to generate a substantial 178,966 KWh of power annually, marking a significant stride towards reducing the school's carbon footprint by 99,598 KG of CO2 emissions per year.
Beyond the success and positive impact of the initial installation, Ferndown School continued its commitment to sustainability with another project. A few years later, Empower Energy installed a 48.45KW solar system, boasting 114 solar panels, 57 SolarEdge optimisers, and 1 inverter. This addition has further fortified Ferndown School's position as a leader in eco-friendly practices.
Collectively, Ferndown Upper & Middle School now stands as a beacon of sustainable energy practices, generating an impressive total of 230,254 KWh of power annually. Beyond the commendable environmental impact, the school is also reaping financial benefits, with substantial annual cost savings of £36,294.9 on electricity bills.
