Garage roof install in Ringwood

default

This customer wanted to have solar installed, however, the significant shading on their main house roof meant that we needed to find an alternative option. To maximise energy generation, we utilised the garage roof, successfully installing a 24-panel, 10.44kWp system paired with an 8kW SolarEdge inverter and power optimisers. The system now generates over 9,000kWh annually, delivering estimated electricity bill savings of £2,200 per year and reducing the homeowner’s carbon footprint by 5,300kg of CO₂ annually.

To further enhance energy efficiency and self-sufficiency, we installed a Tesla Powerwall 3 for battery storage, allowing the homeowners to store excess solar energy for use in the evenings. Additionally, we integrated a Myenergi Zappi EV charger, enabling smart, solar-powered vehicle charging. As part of the project, we also upgraded the property’s outdated consumer unit to meet 18th Edition regulations, expanding its capacity and ensuring compliance with the latest electrical safety standards.

This installation demonstrates how strategic design and the right technology can overcome site limitations, providing long-term savings, increased energy independence, and significant environmental benefits.
